How to Manage Your Account Details on the AppFolio Tenant Portal

Updating Your Contact Information

To keep your information current:

  1. Log in to the AppFolio Tenant Portal.

  2. Navigate to the Account Profile tab.

  3. Locate the Contact Information section.

  4. Update any necessary fields, including:

    • Email address (used for login)

    • Phone number

    • Mailing address

    • Vehicle information

  5. Click Save to apply the changes.

Keeping this information up to date helps ensure timely communication.

Changing Your Password

To update your password:

  1. Go to the Account Profile tab.

  2. Find the Password section.

  3. Enter your current password.

  4. Create and confirm a new password that:

    • Is between 8 and 32 characters

    • Includes at least one letter

    • Includes at least one number or symbol

  5. Click Save to confirm the change.

Adjusting Language Preferences

The tenant portal supports both English and Spanish.

To change your language preference:

  1. Open the Account Profile tab.

  2. Locate the Choose Your Language section.

  3. Select Spanish from the menu.

  4. Click Save.

Spanish Language on Login and Activation Screens

You can select Spanish before logging in:

  • Use the language toggle on the login or activation screen to switch between English and Spanish.

  • Once logged in, your language preference is saved in your account profile.

  • The preference will remain saved unless browser cookies are cleared.

Submitting a Notice to Vacate

If the feature is enabled for your account:

  1. Go to the Contact Us tab.

  2. In the Contact Options section, select Request Notice to Vacate.

  3. Complete the required fields, including:

    • Expected move-out date

    • Reason for vacating

    • Forwarding address, if known

  4. Click Submit to send your notice.

Setting Up Rent Reminders

To receive reminders for rent payments:

  1. Navigate to the Account Profile tab.

  2. Find the Contact Preferences section.

  3. Choose how you would like to receive reminders:

    • Email notifications

    • Mobile push notifications

  4. Click Save to activate reminders.

Deleting Your Account

If you are no longer renting through the property manager:

  • Contact your property manager directly

  • Request that your portal login credentials be deleted
